Hey there, Marvin Woo here, owner of Woo’s Electrical and Appliances. Today, I’m faced with a conundrum that many business owners grapple with: what should I write about on my company blog?

Everyone seems to have an opinion, and it’s turning out to be quite a debate. Here’s a glimpse into the chaos that’s behind my decision-making process:

First up, we have my wife June. She thinks I should get personal and share stories about my life outside of work. But I already have a travel blog, so I’m sure what else should I share besides my travel adventures?

Then there are my sons. They’re convinced that the world needs more dad jokes. According to them, my blog should be a treasure trove of electrical puns and corny jokes. Here are a few they suggested to start off with:

• Why did the electrician break up with his girlfriend? She was too shocking!
• What do you call a detective electrician? Sherlock Ohms.
• Why did the light bulb go to school? It wanted to be a little brighter.

I’m not sure if these jokes will brighten up your day or if they’ll make you groan louder than a faulty generator, but my sons swear by them.

My friend Chris, on the other hand, is obsessed with my mustache. Yes, you read that right—my mustache. Chris thinks I should dedicate the entire blog to my mustache’s adventures. Believe it or not, my mustache has a backstory. Chris might be onto something here.

And then there’s my cousin Ed. Ed thinks blogs are a thing of the past and that nobody reads blog posts anymore. He thinks that I should stick to fixing wires and get rid of the blog from my site. While Ed’s advice is sound, I can’t help but feel that he’s missing out on the fun.

So, here I am, torn between sharing my personal life, cracking dad jokes, recounting the epic saga of my mustache, or not blogging at all. What’s a guy to do?

Maybe I’ll do a bit of everything. After all, Woo’s Electrical and Appliances isn’t just about fixing wires and appliances—it’s about the people, the stories, and yes, even the mustaches that make life interesting.
